Worked out great! Posted by: primal from: San Marcos, TX on This little cable saved me from having to replace my Sony stereo receiver. I am currently using an older but good Sony DVR player with 5.1 RCA outputs & it is going to the 5.1 RCA inputs on my receiver but the inputs on the receiver have had some kind of short causing my front speaker s sound to cut out. I would have to jiggle the wires to get the sound to come back. I decided to try this optical cable, thinking, how could 5.1 sound go through a single cable. All I can say is Unbelievable!…
